A Goodall Pool - Equipment

Even the most basic of pools has to come with the necessary equipment to maintain it. From over four decades of experience, we know that this is one of the most critical components of pool design. Having the proper pump, filter and vacuum supplies is what separates happy pool owners from frustrated ones. There is no one-size-fits-all equipment solution, so we evaluate each pool separately. Based on the pool's surroundings, anticipated use and other, more technical, factors we determine the type and size of equipment needed.

We work with Hayward, the leading manufacturer of pool equipment, to provide you with the tools your pool needs. Working with them   allows us access to the most dependable and efficient products on the market. We're confident in Hayward's products and their warranties, that's why we're a Hayward Authorized Service Center.

Perhaps not as obvious, but every bit as crucial to the overall success of your swimming pool project, is the hydraulic system that will operate your pool.  Indeed, a properly designed plumbing system is absolutely essential to great water quality, to lower long-term expenses, and to long-lasting enjoyment of your new pool.

Hayward Super PumpHayward Super Pump
At Goodall Pools and Spas, the foundation of our plumbing systems is a Hayward Pool Products “Super Pump”. Hayward Pool Products is one of the most highly-rated manufacturers in the industry, and their “Super Pump” is the latest evolution of a long line of high-efficiency, trouble-free industry-leading pumps that Hayward has developed. Along with proven durability and an excellent warranty, the Super Pump is most noted for its very quiet and inexpensive operation. Like the refrigerator in your kitchen, this pump is designed to quietly, inexpensively run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, all season long. No more broken timers, no more remembering to “turn the pump on” or “turn the pump off!” At no more cost to you than an ordinary pump, the Super Pump gets “turned on” when the pool is opened in spring, and goes virtually untouched until it is “turned back off” in the fall when the pool is closed.

Swim Clear FilterFilter/Water Circulation
As important to the hydraulic system as the pump is, the choice of filter type is perhaps just as critical. Brilliantly clear, perfectly clean water is the goal of every pool owner, and the filter is the key ingredient to achieving this! At Goodall Pools and Spas, we include a Hayward Pool Products “SwimClear” Quad-Cluster Cartridge Filter with each pool that we build. These filters are not only some of the best on today’s market for keeping your water clean and pure, but they are much, much more maintenance-free and user-friendly than the old “sand” and “DE” filters. No more backwashing, no more “bumping”, no more filter mess...

Also regarding circulation, our priority in designing your hydraulic system is to ensure that all of the water in your swimming pool “turns” every eight to ten hours. In other words, in a twenty-four hour period all of the water in your pool will move through the pump and filter at least two-and-a-half to three times. In order to accomplish this, the pump, piping, and filter will be sized appropriately for the correct volume of water to continuously pass through the system. Truly, “one size does not fit all!” We will ensure that you will have an accurately proportioned, efficiently functioning system that will remain reliable for many years to come!

Safety Drain SystemSafety
Finally, in this age of acute safety concerns, we also make a priority of providing the most up-to-date anti-entrapment devices available. Our Safety Drain System provides multiple layers of safe-keeping for you and your family and your friends, and it is a standard feature on every pool that we build.

VacuumVacuum Supplies
Even with the most careful of planning and diligence in raking, sooner or later every pool will get leaves in it. That’s why, with every Goodall Pool, the equipment needed to vacuum it is included. Like all of our equipment your vacuuming supplies are determined for you after your pool as been designed and its surroundings can be accounted for. Whether you have a manual or an automatic cleaning system, rest assured you will have the equipment that is tailored to your needs. Check out our Options section for more information on automated cleaning systems.

All good things must come to an end. When we put your pool to bed for the winter we'll put the AquaCover on it. When combined with a proper winterizing program, The AquaCover Solid Winter Cover will protect your pool from the wear and tear of freezing winter weather and eliminate costly maintenance and spring cleanup.
